The Brocher Foundation hosts, for 1 to 3-month residencies, researchers coming from all over the world, to write a book, articles, essays and/or PhD thesis in an outstanding and peaceful environment that stimulates concentration. 

Everything is done so that Junior and Senior Researchers staying at the same time to develop a scientific network as well as one with experts from International Organizations located in Geneva (WHO, WTO, WIPO, UNHCR, ILO, ICRC, MSF...). 

Since its inauguration in 2007, the Brocher Foundation welcomes 50 Researchers each year. 

The rigorous selection process carried out by the Scientific Committee allows numerous experts to attend high quality workshops and to keep up to date with international ELSI news on medical development and health policies.

The mission of the Brocher Foundation is to be a dynamic exchange platform on the Health challenges of the 21st century. It focuses on the impact of new medical development on society. It is a bridge between the scientific world, OIGs, NGOs and citizens. The Brocher Foundation is renowned for its promotion of pluridisciplinary research on the Ethical, Legal and Social Issues (ELSI) of new medical development and health policies
